]]> Some people love listening to Alabama’s The Q at 103.7 or the new 99.5 The Vibe, but to be honest, they just loop about 20 songs and it gets old! I listen to my own assortment of music that I collect, but for the past several years I’ve really enjoyed the UK’s BBC Radio 1. I love Fearne Cotton in the mornings and Annie Mac Friday nights. They have great music, new, fresh and variety, as well as entertaining talk shows. They interview all the famous artists and are very informing. You can actually listen to them on Sirius XM channel 701 or on the web (click above). Wish some American stations were more like them! I actually got inspired by Annie Mac, and I believe we have the same show hours on Friday.

The Fall Student Forum 2012 last October 26 at the Blazer RLC had a great turnout with more than fifty UAB Administrators present in one setting. Thanks to USGA, and with the help of UAB media outlets, the forum had about forty-five students in attendance. Voicing out their concerns and questions to the administrators, the dialogue was informative and interesting. If you missed the forum, click on the link below for the full recording. Parking; campus safety; scholarships and stipulations; housing; and Wi-Fi issues had the most airtime. As for technical issues, and other services issues, make sure to report it. By doing so, these work orders help administrators pinpoint where the problem is. Students will look forward to a new residence hall, a renovated student center (currently HUC), and a transit system.
